Storm

This painting was inspired by the word storm. I decided to paint a house alone in the woods near the ocean. It’s a recreation of my cousin’s house out east. The summer before the house was built we camped on the empty lot. I remember a storm rolling in over the water and its intensity.

The medium I used was acrylic on canvas board.

The word ocean inspired this painting. I painted it on canvas with acrylic paint. I perfume this medium because I find that it is very easy to work with in comparison to oil paints. It gives a nice bended wavy effect that is seen threw out most of my paintings that I done over the years.

I started with a canvas approximately 4ft in length and 3ft in height. I build all my stretchers at home its more cost effective because I usually like to work with a large area. I decided to paint a wavy ocean with a red skyline. I did have some technique difficulties with photographing my proses and only have a few shots of the painting near the end of the proses.
